Yep we're updating things again.........now, I realise this should probably been done about 3 months ago but hey sometimes you just have to face up to the fact that you can't do everything!!! Of upmost importance at the moment is the fact that we have moved homes for our monthly meet.

The White Lion Hotel @ Weston

is our choice now.............hope you liked it a few weeks ago??

We have a number of areas where we can base ourselves in the pub, food is available too, it has a big car park as well as keen and enthusiastic bar staff. I felt as though we were made pretty welcome at such short notice the other week.....what do you all think?

So where has the year gone???

Well it certainly was a wet one, although in hindsight we should have perhaps have guessed that after a rather cold and damp BusTypes!!!!!!

That aside a very big "THANK YOU" to all of you that have attended any club events over the last 12 months. I think generally speaking we've all had good times and made new friends along the way and long may that continue within the club, after all that is what we all want!!

The membership has swelled as the year has gone by although I'm sure a few have passed by the wayside too.....you are always welcome back. Having said that I have received a couple of fresh e-mails recently and hopefully a few more new faces will be coming along to the meets. Look forward to meeting you.........you know who you are!!!!!!

The future?????? To continue growing naturally, does that mean watercooled I here you ask??? I think realistically we have to be open to the new generation of watercooled enthusiasts. The reason behind this? We know of people with classic waterboilers who are saving for there 1st camper who have been put off by the fact that all the site suggests aircooled ownership and I believe that needs to change:

Yes we are predominatly an aircooled club and that will remain the heartbeat of the club for many years to come, however we have members with water cooled veedubs and I think that as long as the roots of the club stay as they are and new members respect that then all I can say is if you own a classic waterboiler.......get yourself down to

The White Lion

2009 Calendar

So with a new year fast approaching, would anyone be interested in a CNBBC calendar? I am more than happy to look into this but I need feedback and your favourite pics of the year sent to me pretty damn quickly.

The images need to be of the highest quality that you have and if I get enough response and more than enough pictures I will select the pictures for inclusion at random from a hat. (Obviously if you want the Terrence Calendar, that can be arranged too!!!!!!!)

From my research last year if I can get about at least 10 interested people I think we would be looking at a cost of around £12.

Get e-mailing your suggestion and pictures to us.......Yes Tony that includes you, I'm sure you took a million pictures at Vanfest!!!!!!!!!

Now, we thought we ought to keep you updated on what your membership fee gives you:

So for your £2 a year, you will get a membership card and number (you can use this to gain a discount at Adrian Flux Insurance and others) You get the advantage of being protected by PUBLIC LIABILITY INSURANCE whilst in the CLUB CAMPING AREA at shows, you get your CLUB STICKER, you get free access to both the CLUB WEBSITE and CLUB FORUM(PLEASE NOTE THE RUNNING COSTS OF THESE SITES IS NOT INCLUDED IN YOUR MEMBERSHIP FEE AND IS SUSTAINED BY THE 'A' TEAM!!) and FINALLY

We hope you enjoy being a part of the club as much as we enjoy running it?!?!?!?! All members ideas of how to progress the Club, events to attend or indeed to organise, etc are welcome and very much appreciated.  So keep them coming guys!!!!

So did you get our T-shirts and Hoodies? Hope the design was a nice surprise and that they are wearing well. I will look at doing another run in the new year but I do still have a couple of spares available if anyone is interested as a few people who ordered have never been seen again. A few stickers are still left too but I will be ordering a new run and a new design in the very near future. Watch this space!!!!!

Music is still available too 'The After Surf Sunset Sessions' CD - for those chill out moments when all you need is a nice cold beer or alternatively a nice warm cup of tea/coffee, a few mates in your van or even just a book and your own company with some nice chilled out tunes in the background.

So order your copy now!!!

(Please note that we do plan to expand our selection of merchandise and the above is merely a taster of things to come.)

The Christmas Do..........well, it never got off the ground sadly, so, for the few of you that did express an interest, humble apologies, for those of you that didn't, why not?.......your interest might just have been enough to get my backside in gear and sort something out.

However I have a plan.........who has nothing to do on one of the days between Christmas and New Year? Anyone up for a cruise followed by a beer somewhere?

As we at least managed a cruise in our first year this would be the last opportunity to achieve one on 2008, come on I think we should and it would be rude not to.

So whose interested? Send us a mail to give us some indication and if you have any preferences for a route or a particular pub on the route (we will need at least one stop off to keep warm!!!!!) Lets hope we can sort something out and I look forward to seeing you on

The Last Cruise of 2008.......................be there!!!!!!!!
